Question
I cannot set my Gmail on Autel MaxiPRO MP808 scan tool. It’s unable to connect. How to set Gmail on the tablet, please help me.
Setting Method
The method is applied to most Autel Diagnostic Tools like Autel MaxiPRO MP808K, MP808TS, Autel MaxiCOM MK808, Autel MaxiSys MS906BT, etc.
Step1. Log in to your Gmail account on PC/laptop, click the setting icon.
Step2. Click “See all settings >> Forwarding and POP/IMAP”. Enable POP & IMAP, and save changes.
Step3. Manage your Google Account >> Security >> Turn on “Less secure app access”.
Step4. Go back to your Gmail inbox to check and confirm the Google security alert activity.
Step5. Go to “System setting >> Add account >> Input Gmail address and passoword >> Next/ Manual setup >> POP3”.
Set the incoming server settings as below:
Server: pop.gmail.com
Security type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
Port: 995
Set the outgoing server as below:
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Security type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
Port: 465
Step6. Set inbox checking frequency as “Every 5 minutes”.
Step7. Input your name for the account.
Done!
Gmail account was set up on Autel scan tool successfully!
NOTE: Please reboot the scan tool and reset the WiFi connection when it shows “Couldn’t open connection to server” error. Sometimes the server does not respond, please keep trying.
